About the Case Presentation

PYLERA® is a medication used for the treatment of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection, a common cause of stomach ulcers and gastritis. It contains a combination of three active ingredients: bismuth subcitrate potassium, metronidazole, and tetracycline. This combination works synergistically to eradicate H. pylori bacteria and reduce associated symptoms. Treatment with PYLERA® typically involves taking multiple capsules four times a day for a specified duration, as prescribed by a healthcare provider. It is important to follow the treatment regimen as directed and to discuss potential side effects

Dr. Filippos Georgopoulos is currently working as  Consultant in Gastroenterology and Hepatology and heads the Gastroenterology Department and Endoscopy Unit at Al Zahra Private Hospital in Dubai. He is a Fellow of the European Board of Gastroenterology and Hepatology (FEBGH), UAE. A graduate of the University of Crete in Greece, he completed his Gastroenterology Fellowship training at Athens General Hospital in Greece in 2000, followed by a clinical fellowship in advanced therapeutic ERCP at Glasgow Royal Infirmary in Scotland. Dr. Georgopoulos brings over a decade of experience as a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at Nikea General Hospital in Athens until 2013. He specializes in the treatment of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and has extensive expertise in diagnosing and managing coeliac disease, motility gastrointestinal disorders, and other common GI problems. Dr. Georgopoulos is a prolific author with numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and chapter books, and he is frequently invited as a speaker at local and international scientific meetings, showcasing his commitment to advancing gastroenterology and hepatology knowledge and care.
