Dr. Mario Antony is an accomplished Emergency Medicine Specialist currently serving as Consultant and Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth, Karad, Maharashtra. With extensive training and clinical expertise in emergency and critical care, he is recognized for his commitment to advancing emergency medicine through clinical excellence, academic leadership, and healthcare innovation. Dr. Antony completed his three-year Emergency Medicine training under the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences, New Delhi, at Fortis Hospital, Mumbai — one of India’s leading JCI-accredited hospitals and home to Mumbai’s first NABH-accredited Emergency Department. He has also earned the prestigious MRCEM qualification from the Royal College of Emergency Medicine, United Kingdom. Following his residency, he served as Senior Registrar, taking on responsibilities as shift in-charge while actively leading academic and training activities within the department. Dr. Antony has had the privilege of working under Prof. Dr. Suresh S. David, regarded as the Father of Emergency Medicine in India. At Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth, he played a pivotal role in administration and clinical services, contributing significantly to the transformation of an 8-bedded casualty unit into a modern 30-bedded state-of-the-art Emergency Department, reflecting his dedication to strengthening emergency healthcare infrastructure and patient care systems.
