Current Vaccination Program in India
One of the most important strategies for preventing preventable illnesses that can kill children is the immunization programme. It is one of the world's largest immunization programmes and a significant public health initiative for the nation. The Expanded Program of Immunization was the name given to India's vaccination programme in 1978. (EPI). Once the programme gathered traction in 1985, it was expanded into the Universal Immunization Program (UIP), which was to be executed gradually to reach every district in the nation by 1989–1990. In 1992, UIP joined the Child Survival and Safe Motherhood Program. Immunization programmes have been a crucial part of the National Reproductive and Child Health Program since 1997, and they are currently one of the main focuses of the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM).

MTP usually involves a balanced ratio of packed red blood cells, plasma, and platelets, often in a 1:1:1 ratio. Early activation and coordination among trauma teams, laboratory services, and blood banks are essential for its success.
