Professor Andre Dekker is a medical physicist and professor of Clinical Data Science at Maastricht University Medical Center and Maastro Clinic in The Netherlands, leading a research group focused on federated data infrastructures, Al for health outcome prediction, and applying Al to improve patient health. His group has made significant contributions, including the first open-source federated learning infrastructure, the first FDA-approved Al application in radiation oncology, and pioneering work in Radiomics. Prof. Dekker has authored over 250 publications, mentored over 50 PhD students, and holds numerous awards and patents. He has hold visiting appointments globally and serves as an external advisor to various organizations, including the United Nations.
