Dr. Imad Hassan is an Assistant Professor and Consultant Internist with a specialization in Pulmonary Medicine at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he has been serving for over 16 years. He has made significant contributions to the development of comprehensive care models for VIP patients and the advancement of electronic medical records and clinical pathways, including the creation of a Basal Bolus Corrective Insulin protocol, recently approved by JCI. Dr. Hassan has played an instrumental role in resident and student education, developing innovative competency-based training models and introducing new activities such as Scheme-based Education and Evidence-based Medicine to enhance learning. He has also been key in restructuring the residency program, establishing decision-making assessments, and leading hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives. Dr. Hassan holds an MD from the University of London and an M.B.B.S. from the University of Khartoum, where he received distinctions in Biochemistry and Anatomy.
