Dr. Andreas C Petropoulos holds a robust and multidisciplinary academic background in medicine, public health, and aviation sciences. He earned his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from the Aristotle University Medical School, alongside specialized training in Military Medicine from the Military Academy for Staff Officers (1983–1989). He further pursued a Master’s degree (MSc) in Preventive and Social Medicine from the prestigious National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2000–2002), equipping him with expertise in public health policy and community-based interventions. His interest in aviation and extreme environment medicine led him to complete advanced programs at the Primary School of Aviation Medicine in San Antonio, Texas (USA), and the School of Hyperbaric Medicine of the Hellenic Navy in Athens, both during 1993–1994. This diverse educational foundation supports his dynamic clinical, academic, and operational leadership in pediatrics and cardiology.
