About the Webinar

Airway stenosis management aims to restore airway patency and improve breathing. Treatment depends on severity, location, and cause. Dilatation, using balloon or rigid bronchoscopy, provides immediate relief by widening the narrowed airway but may require repetition due to restenosis. Stenting offers longer-term support in cases of recurrent or severe obstruction, using metallic or silicone stents to maintain lumen patency, though complications like migration or granulation may occur. Ablation techniques, including laser, electrocautery, or cryotherapy, target obstructing tissue and scar formation. Often, a multimodal approach combining these methods ensures optimal outcomes, improving ventilation, symptom control, and overall quality of life.
