Approach to Various Traumas

A method in the human services sector called trauma-informed care (TIC) makes the assumption that a person is more likely than not going to have experienced trauma in the past. Trauma-Informed Care recognizes the presence of trauma symptoms and the impact that trauma may have on a person's life, including that of service personnel. Trauma-Informed Care alters organizational culture at the organization or systemic level to stress respecting and correctly reacting to the impacts of trauma at all levels.
