About the Case Presentation

A 911 call to a dispatch center usually initiates prehospital treatment, which is a crucial component of the emergency health care continuum. Trained professionals who receive such a call routinely assess whether emergency care is necessary. They then send the proper air and ground ambulances as well as other EMS responders to triage, treat, and transport the patient or patients to the proper medical facility, where final care is given. A coordinated and integrated emergency health care system with skilled and equipped staff at hospitals, specialist care facilities, ambulance providers, and dispatch centers provides this continuum of traditional care.

Dr. Nayan Sriramula is a skilled Consultant Emergency Physician currently practicing at AIG Hospitals, Hyderabad, since July 2024. He brings over four years of experience in emergency medicine, having previously served as the Lead Emergency Physician at Ajara Hospitals, Warangal, from July 2023 to July 2024. Dr. Nayan’s expertise spans a range of critical care services, including Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS). He completed his MD in Emergency Medicine from Narayana Medical College, Nellore, in 2023, where he also underwent extensive training in resuscitation and critical care. In addition, he holds a Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Emergency Medicine, further enhancing his credentials. Dr. Nayan’s experience also includes providing teleconsultation services during the COVID-19 pandemic with Apollo TeleHealth, offering 24/7 care and follow-ups for COVID-19 patients. With a strong background in both on-site emergency care and telemedicine, Dr. Nayan is dedicated to delivering exceptional, life-saving medical attention in high-pressure situations.
